External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Washington on Friday, their second one after they met on May 3rd on the sidelines of the G-7 Foreign Ministers’ meeting in London.

They held talks on various aspects of bilateral cooperation as well as regional and global issues, including Covid-19 relief, vaccine procurement, efforts to strengthen Indo-Pacific cooperation through the Quad, the India-China border situation, and climate change.

Both – the US secretary of state and External Affairs minister Dr. Jaishankar called it a productive meeting. In a Twitter message, the External Affairs minister said the talks have further solidified the India-US strategic partnership and enlarged our agenda of cooperation.
