Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that state sponsorship of terrorism is the biggest threat humanity is facing as he urged the world leaders to unite for combating the menace. Addressing the Maldivian Parliament, the Majlis, the Prime Minister added Terrorism is not just a threat for a country but to the entire civilization. Meanwhile, on Sunday, Prime Minister Modi met Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena for the second time in 10 days and agreed that terrorism was a "joint threat" that needed collective and focused action. Modi was the first foreign leader to visit Sri Lanka after the dastardly terror attack of April 21 that killed over 250 people and was claimed by the Islamic State. His visit is being seen as India's affirmation of solidarity with the neighbouring country in its hour of crisis. Prime Minister Modi has time and again reminded the world about the perils of terrorism and has urged the international community to deal with the menace with an iron fist.
