Context:

Recently launched by the union government, NIPUN (National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading with Understanding and Numeracy) Bharat Mission aims to ensure every child in India acquires foundational literacy and numeracy skills.

About the Mission:

• Target: By end of Grade 3 (age 8-9), every child should possess competencies in reading, writing, and basic maths.
