CONTEXT – ANOTHER MILESTONE OF ISRO

1.    ISRO will launch EOS-08 micro satellite using SSLV D-3 on 15 August 2024.

2.    Its purpose is to develop the technology required for the future communication satellite.

3.    This is the last and third flight of ISRO, it will be placed in low earth orbit.

4.    It is used for disaster monitoring, environmental monitoring, and taking pictures in MIR and LWIR bands.
