The IAS Olympiad:

This is an entrance test held to enroll students into the 3-year Udaan Program powered by Dhyeya IAS to provide a level playing field to all the candidates irrespective of their background. Dhyeya IAS Olympiad has been introduced to reduce biases that might occur in subjective assessments like interviews or personal statements, promoting a more equitable selection process. This test provides a uniform measure of knowledge and skills among all applicants, allowing the institute to evaluate fairly. This test helps us to determine the serious candidates who actually want to prepare for competitive exams like UPSC. This test assesses specific skills and knowledge that are pertinent to the preparation of competitive exams. Dhyeya IAS Olympiad also offers opportunity to the appearing candidates to get up to 100% merit based scholarship for the Udaan Course Program.

Eligibility to appear for the Olympiad

Age Limit:

Candidates must have attained the age of 15 years and must not have attained the age of 19 years as on 1st of August, 2024 i.e. candidate must be born after 1st August 2005 and on or before 1st August 2009.

Educational Qualification:

12th Passed/Appearing from a recognized board.

IAS Olympiad: Syllabus

The Question paper shall comprise of the following compulsory sections:

Time: 3:00 hrs - Total Marks: 200

Section A: Objective Type

The Question paper shall comprise of the following compulsory sections:

Part 1

  • General Knowledge

  • Indian History

  • Geography

  • Indian Constitution & Polity

  • Indian Economy

  • General Science

  • Environment & Ecology

Part 2

  • General mental ability

  • Logical & Analytical Reasoning

  • Comprehension

  • Current Affairs (National & International Importance)

Section B: Subjective Type

  • Questions based on Decision-Making and Problem-Solving

  • Essay

NOTE:

  • There will be four alternatives for the answer to Objective question. For each objective question of which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.

  • The questions will be based on 10+2 level.

Instructions

General

  • Please ensure the eligibility criteria before applying for the entrance exam.

  • Scholarship will be based on marks obtained in IAS Olympiad exam.

  • The final discretion of awarding the scholarship in each case will remain with DHYEYA IAS management and its decision would be final and binding on the candidates.

  • Student will be eligible for admission in UDAAN (3 Years) Programme only after qualifying the IAS OLYMPIAD Exam.

About Entrance Exam

  • Candidates should occupy their allotted seats 25 minutes before the given time.

  • Candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall 30 minutes after the commencement of the examination.

  • Candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination hall before the end of the examination.

  • Bring two (2) black ink ballpoint pens. Candidates have to answer in the optional response sheet (ORS) by darkening the bubbles using only a black ink ballpoint pen. Since bubbles darkened by the black ink ballpoint pen cannot be erased, candidates should darken the bubbles in the ORS very carefully.

  • Name of the candidates, Registration number, Examination Centres and Signature of the candidate should be entered in the ORS using only ballpoint pen.

  • Mobile phones or any other electronic gadgets are NOT ALLOWED inside the examination hall. There may not be any facility for safe-keeping of your gadget outside the hall, so it will be better to leave it at your residence.

Scholarship Criteria
The test will shortlist candidates on merit basis and will offer scholarship to the students on basis of the rank secured in the examination. The ranks will be allotted on the basis of the marks scored in the examination. The candidate who secures the first rank will have scored maximum marks amongst all the candidates appearing for the exam.
